My Story
Hello, my name is Laura, I am 24 years old and I am the founder of Butonii and today I want to share my story with you.
It all started when I left my country and my family, and decided to embark on a journey alone, accompanied only by my fears and my desire to discover a new life. It was the year 2021, one night on October 13, when I heard the words that would change me: "Welcome to the United States of America." At that moment I knew that I had arrived to fulfill my greatest dream: to have my own clothing brand. It took a lot of time and effort to make the decision to start because we are always afraid that it will not work, but I got tired, I got tired of other people managing my time, of working to fulfill other people's dreams. So I pressed the "start" button in my mind and everything began to resonate loudly: "I can, I can, I can."
There were a million stones and potholes in my path. Many times I thought that it was not enough to achieve it, but I never had a plan B. I always knew that this was the only thing I wanted to do, and that was what kept me strong, I can't fail if I don't stop trying, and that's how my path began and today if I look back I can't believe how far I've come to be able to say that today Butonii is my reality.
Why the name “Butonii”?
On this journey, I have been accompanied by the most important people in my life. Among them, there is someone who is my other half, my soulmate. Thanks to him, today “Butonii” exists.
In Romanian, “Butonii” means “soulmate or twin”, and he is, without a doubt, my twin in spirit. Every step I take in this project carries a little piece of him, and that is why the name “Butonii” not only represents our deep and special connection, but also his invaluable presence in my life. It is my way of thanking him for always being there and for being my rock, my companion, my soulmate.
But the name also has an even more special meaning. It reflects the deep connection and love that my soulmate has with his brother, his twin in life. From the first second of their existence, they have shared a unique and unbreakable bond, a love that is one of the most important and significant forces in their life. This love is an essential part of their being, and recognizing it in the name "Butonii" is honoring that very special relationship.
Butonii is not just a brand. It is a name that carries with it a story of love, of family, and of bonds that endure beyond time and distance. In every syllable, in every sound, "Butonii" reminds us that we are connected, not only to each other, but also to those we love and who are an essential part of our lives and it is also a tribute to that unbreakable bond, to that person who completes me and without whom this dream would not be possible. Thus, each thread, each button, and each design are made with dedication and love, with the hope that they inspire you to never give up. I wish that every time you wear something from Butonii, you feel a spark of that passion and determination that drives me forward.
